Signature analysis is a branch of handwriting analysis, used by a graphologist to examine an individual’s signature in relation to the overall handwriting to understand his public personality. For example, a signature leaning to the right shows that the writer is a friendly person who loves to reach out to people. It’s a common saying that Signatures are the holographic image of a person’s identity, which he/she creates unknowingly through the sub-conscious brain.

The baseline of the signature (whether it ascends, descends, or remains level) reveals the writer’s outlook and emotional disposition. Embellishments such as underlines, dots, or enclosures carry specific meanings — an underline may indicate self-reliance and confidence, while an encircled signature may suggest a need for self-protection. The way a person crosses their “t”s and dots their “i”s within the signature also provides valuable information about goal-setting, attention to detail, and ambition.
